PBIS Criteria

Grantham School uses the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) model to promote positive behavior at school.  This proactive approach supports students to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.  We have celebrations at the end of each 9 weeks and the school year to celebrate the success of our students.  In order to attend the end of year celebration, a student must be in Tier 1 for the entire year.  The following criteria is what we use to determine if students are eligible to attend the celebrations.


PBIS K-2 Criteria


Tier 1:           1 parent contact in the 9 weeks

Celebration: Sock Hop/Outside playtime with snack and drink.


Tier 2:            2-3 parent contacts in the 9 weeks

Celebration: Movie with snack and drink


Tier 3:            4-5 parent contacts in the 9 weeks

Celebration:  Movie


Tier 4:           6 or more parent contacts in the 9 weeks

Class with lesson on character development
